Craft - Crafting Titanium Jewelry.

As you would expect, handcrafting jewelry from titanium presents enormous challenges for craftsmen and women across the world.

Titanium's clear oxide refracts light at differing wavelengths which provides the vivid colors. When working with titanium special tools are used — including electricity (the voltage forces the oxide to thicken and amazing colors appear).

Design Process for Titanium Crafts

The team spends hours researching the most appropriate design for our products before we move on to drawing various potential designs. These designs are then reviewed via our selection process before settling on what we (our design team & previous customers) feel is the best design to move forward with.

Using a jewelers saw we then hand cut the titanium to develop the prototype. Our craftsmen then deburr and form the design with hand punches and a hammer in a wooden block, apply the most likely colors and fit pins and catches.

We then place the prototype on trial, further assessing its suitability and possibly making adjustments before we then commence a small trial batch of titanium jewelry..
